Alex Ferguson & Man U

Alex Ferguson and his assistant Archie Knox arrived from Aberdeen on the day of Atkinson's dismissal, and guided the club to an 11th-place finish in the league. Despite a second-place finish in 1987–88, the club was back in 11th place the following season. Reportedly on the verge of being dismissed, victory over Crystal Palace in the1990 FA Cup Final replay (after a 3–3 draw) saved Ferguson's career. The following season, Manchester United claimed its first Cup Winners' Cup title and competed in the 1991 UEFA Super Cup, beating European Cup holdersRed Star Belgrade 1–0 in the final at Old Trafford. A second consecutive League Cup final appearance followed in 1992, in which the team beat Nottingham Forest 1–0 at Wembley. In 1993, the club won its first league title since 1967, and a year later, for the first time since 1957, it won a second consecutive title – alongside the FA Cup – to complete the first "Double" in the club's history.
Manchester United's 1998–99 season was the most successful in English club football history as they became the first team to win the Premier League, FA Cup and UEFA Champions League – "The Treble" – in the same season.Losing 1–0 going into injury time in the 1999 UEFA Champions League FinalTeddy Sheringham and Ole Gunnar Solskjær scored late goals to claim a dramatic victory over Bayern Munich, in what is considered one of the greatest comebacks of all time. The club also won the Intercontinental Cup after beating Palmeiras 1–0 in Tokyo. Ferguson was subsequently knighted for his services to football.
In 2000, Manchester United competed in the inaugural FIFA Club World Championship in Brazil, and won the league again in the 1999–2000 and 2000–01 seasons. The team finished as runners-up in 2001–02, before regaining the title in 2002–03. They won the2003–04 FA Cup, beating Millwall 3–0 in the final at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff. In the 2005–06 season Manchester United failed to qualify for the knockout phase of the UEFA Champions League for the first time in over a decade, but recovered to secure a second-place league finish and victory over Wigan Athletic in the 2006 Football League Cup Final. The club regained the Premier League in the 2006–07 and 2007–08 seasons, and completed the European double by beating Chelsea 6–5 on penalties in the 2008 UEFA Champions League Final in Moscow's Luzhniki Stadium. Ryan Giggs made a record 759th appearance for the club in this game, overtaking previous record holder Bobby Charlton. In December 2008, the club won the 2008 FIFA Club World Cup and followed this with the 2008–09 Football League Cup, and its third successive Premier League title. That summer, Cristiano Ronaldo was sold to Real Madrid for a world record £80 million. In 2010, Manchester United defeated Aston Villa 2–1 at Wembley to retain the League Cup, its first successful defence of a knockout cup competition.

Timeless Secrets For Beauty

  1. Rest-If you want to get a healthy glow on your face, one of the  first things you need is 8 hours of undisturbed sleep every night. Our body needs rest to recover from the wear and tear it undergoes each day.
  2. Relaxation-You should learn to relax, to unwind, to distress. Yoga and meditation are great ways to relax. Exercising regularly is also a good way to stay fit and active-regular exercise is also a great way of "de-stressing." A combination of Pilates and Yoga may be ideal if you want to have a great looking body.
  3. Detox- Drinking 10-12 glasses of water each day is a great way to remove the toxins from your system.
  4. A Balanced Diet-Green leafy vegetables, salads, nuts, dry fruits, fresh fruits, and fresh fruit juices should be included in your daily diet. A balanced diet is essential if you want to stay healthy and active. Avoid alcohol, tobacco and junk foods.
  5. Hair Care-Hot oil massages and turban therapy, done at least once a month, are good for your hair. Oils like olive oil, castor oil, almond oil and coconut oil are particularly good for the hair. Use a mild shampoo for your hair, and use hair care packs about 2 times in a month.
  6. Nail Care- Regular manicures and pedicures are essential to maintain clean and healthy nails. Make sure that you keep your nails clean and moisturized, regularly.
  7. Eye Care- Make sure that your eyes get enough rest. Do not over-strain them by staring for long stretches at the computer monitor or the television screen. Splash your eyes with cold water. Go for eye check-ups regularly. Use an under eye nourishing cream, regularly, to take care of the soft skin around your eyes.
  8. Skin Care-Maintain a strict routine of personal hygiene. Use mild soaps and skin cleansers. Moisturize your skin every day. Use face packs and body packs to rejuvenate your skin. These can be used once in 7 days or once in 15 days. A pack made of boiled oats, honey and toned milk can be used for your face as well as for your entire body. The area around the eyes should be left out-use a mixture of milk cream, almond oil and honey for the delicate skin around the eyes.
  9. Makeup- Do not compromise on the quality of the cosmetics you use. Ideally, avoid the use of makeup as far as possible. Do not wear makeup for long hours, and always remove all traces of makeup before you go to bed at night. If you have to use makeup-maintain a strict routine of cleansing, toning and moisturizing of your skin.

Helpful Health Tips

A Few Tips For A Better Night’s Sleep

Insomnia and the lack of sleep affects thousands of people every day and will cause problems with our mood, productivity, immune function, and cognitive ability. Not getting a good sleep is connected to all sorts of health problems, including tooth decay, visible aging and formation or wrinkles, muscle pain, and slower recovery time. Improving the quality of your life can be as easy as improving the quality of your sleep; after all, depression and mental disease occur at higher rates in those that sleep badly. Here are a few tips to help you get a better night’s sleep.
If you find yourself having trouble getting to sleep, it may be in part due to what you do just before bedtime. Engaging in relaxing activities like reading, listening to soothing music, and doing yoga or some form of stretching can effectively relax the mind and body. Watching TV might help, but TV can stimulate the mind and make falling asleep more difficult. It is important to avoid activities that remind you of stress or work so that you can relax your mind and prepare it for sleep this probably means getting off the computer.
Another thing is that you should try not to eat or drink anything (except water) two hours before bed. Eating and drinking will either energize you and make you feel more awake or it will convert to stored energy in fat if you do go to bed soon after. Caffeine and nicotine are stimulants, both that make the mind more alert, so avoiding these things in the evening is a good idea if you want to fall asleep easily. Although alcohol is a depressant and can help you get to sleep, chances are that it will make you wake up later on in the night and you may have difficulty going back to sleep after that. Alcohol can also cause dependency, even if taken regularly in small amounts, and then falling asleep without drinking can become harder to do.
Exercise during the day improves sleep at night. Exercise can help your mind and body feel the need to sleep and it can get you back into a routine of sleeping well. Because many jobs require people to be indoors, internal circadian rhythms can be thrown off. Physical outdoor activity can help restore this. Instead of taking naps during the day, which will detract from the more important night sleep, go to bed earlier and sleep primarily during the night.
If your sleep environment is not comfortable, you will not sleep as well as you could. This seems obvious but it is often overlooked. There are subtle ways of improving a sleep environment: try aromatherapy with candles or incense, make sure the mattress and sheets you sleep on are comfortable, and make the room you sleep in cool, dark, and quiet.
Sleep is a natural thing to the body, so do not think that pills or drugs are necessary to sleep better. If you want to improve your mood and productivity and if you want to get sick less often, finding ways to sleep better is a wonderful solution.
